Youth Thrive 4 Youth Training

Training Date:  June 2, 2026  

Training Time:  Full 8-hour training, 9am-5pm

Location:  Empower 225 Dream Center, 4829 Winbourne Ave. Baton Rouge, LA 70805

Eligibility: Young adults must have lived experience in the foster care system. Young adults must be between ages 18 to 26 and live in Louisiana. 

The Pelican Center for Children and Families has organized a Youth Training Course funded by the Selfless Love Foundation. The Youth Thrive for Youth Training Course is designed to help build youth leaders who can advocate on decisions that impact their lives and communities. Participants will engage in leadership development, advocacy skills, communication strategies, and collaborative discussions with peers and professionals.
