Join us for a training focused on Child in Need of Care (CINC) laws, policies and practice. Faculty members will discuss the constitutional, federal and state laws underlying child welfare cases. Attendees will explore the new safety decision model used by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services and the new forms recently adopted, and how to assess reasonable efforts both to prevent removal and to further the permanency goal, and the Family First Act. Learn what all these topics mean to child welfare professionals and how to apply these principles to everyday work. The training will incorporate legal professionalism.
